Shut the front door! I just got the Walmart text.

It was sent three hours ago but I just saw it. I didn't even open the post earlier tonight because I knew it didn't apply to me and just wasn't all that interested. Why the heck would anyone be texting ME about gang shootings at Walmart? LOL.

Sure enough, one of my friends did. So of course I immediately came back and read that post. I've never been a part of a nationwide text chain letter before.

    i got it at work twice, from 2 ppl in less than 5 minutes. and those ppl dont knoe each other.. eerie-- and creepy

    I totally missed it!  DH came home from local store (our town is less than 2500 ppl) and told me they were talking about it there and a young girl was crying.  We were kind of laughing at "small town hysteria"....So tell me what is this Walmart Gang shooting stuff?!?!

    I got that stupid thing too .... hmm was it at your Walmart cuz it wasn't at mine ....

     

    a friend posted a link on her facebook about it being a hoax and to ignore it .... people have nothing better to do I guess.

     

    the best chain ones are .... if you dont send jesus loves you to 20+ people the devil will grab you through the toilet

    Just Google it. Totally a hoax. I got the text from my friend from Virginia and I for sure loled. These just make me laugh. I wanted to go to Walmart today, and then post, "Hey I went to Walmart today and I lived!!" all over my Facebook and Myspace just to spite the dummies who believed it. =)

    I am the same way. I would do the same thing. I might go post on FB even though I didn't really go to Walmart. LOL

    I work at walmart (upstate ny) and a bunch of my coworkers got the same text tonight too.  I have to say, my department was super quiet tonight.  So maybe our customers heard about it too.

    Like I said earlier, the news here headlined it to make sure people knew this was just a rumor that resurfaces every few months. I've gotten this text/email a couple of times in the past 6 mos!

    Agreed. The news just showed an update on this again, stating that over 20 states reported getting calls regarding this rumor today!

    20 states in one day... now THAT's how you do a chain letter!! Sadly, someone somewhere is patting themselves on the back for this stupidity.

    I got a text early that said something like this:

    "Stay away from Walmart, Campbell (a city in my area) police chief got a tip about a gang initiation and each gang member has to kill 3 women at walmart."

    What was the walmart text that you got??  Or if someone has a link to the other post, I'd like to read it.
