Dr. Ken Akey or Dr. Stephen Osburn? (Pediatrics)

Hi ladies,

I asked a while back for some pediatrician recs who were associated with St. Joseph's in Orange, and I was recommended Dr. Ken Akey. I met with him and thought he was fabulous. My ob/gyn recommended Dr. Stephen Osburn, and I really liked him, too! Now I can't decide! Am 32 weeks and this is my first child, so I want to make sure I make a good choice. Anybody heard of either? Any feedback?

TIA!

  • I replied to you on the Nest board but I know several that see Akey and all rave about him.  I own a preschool and I see his name come through on their physicals a fair amount.  I know I've seen Osburns as well.

My best friends kids see Akey and she adores him ... he's really good with her and her kids.  The other I hear great things about is Dr. Grady Huckabe.

  • I saw your reply on the Nest board, as well. Thank you so much for your recs! I loved Dr. Akey, and am just trying to finalize my decision. Just out of curiosity, what preschool do you own? Will be good to know for the near future :P

  • Plumfield Preschool in Santa Ana/North Tustin. :)  I start at 2.5 years.  However, if/when you're looking if you need any help, I'm the resident "preschool helper" around here. :)
