April will mark 6 months since we've started trying for #2. I know people have been trying much longer than I have but it still makes me sad that we aren't pregnant yet. Anyway just wanted to say hi.
According to your post you're not even at 6 months.
I guess it doesn't matter where I am or am not as this clearly wasn't the place to find support.
You would know that is not true if you had lurked. I mostly lurk on this board and they are very supportive of each other.
You can't just waltz in complaining after TTC for 5 months without success on this board. They have been trying much, much longer than that.
Actually I thought I could. The title of the board says 6 months or longer. I know this month is a no go thus making it 6 months. If you guys have all really been trying that long you should ask the nest to change the name of a board. I've never had to lurk before posting on a board before. I know my struggles aren't as bad as others, someone will always have it worse. But I did think that I could find support from women going through the same thing and not be run off because my struggles might not be quite as bad as someone else.
That explains quite a bit.
I am not really a "member" of this board, as I said I just lurk most of the time which is why I know this kind of post won't be taken to very well.
It's pretty much common courtesy around the bump to lurk and get to know the feeling of a board before you just jump in. Just sayin...
I'll break ranks as a relative newbie and say the ladies here are exceptionally supportive, even when someone hasn't been trying for over 18 months, but they do want a basic courtesy, which is lurking and understanding the context of the board before posting.
While the title says ttc6+, most of the women who post here have been trying longer and are in the stages of seeking diagnostic treatments for IF or the early stages of IF treatment (like Clomid challenges or otherwise medicated cycles, IUI's and for some who have been here even longer or have more specific issues - IVF), or have had recurrent pregnancy loss or both. It's not just a board of women trying for awhile longer than other women. I know that is a little misleading, but it's always, always worthwhile to lurk and check out the culture of a board (any board) before jumping in. Not every board is right for everyone. You will probably find GP (possibly even BOTB, but you never can tell with that group) more receptive as it houses many woman who've been trying for awhile, but haven't quite reached the IFstage.
If thebump were being more accurate, they would probably change the names to really reflect what the boards have evolved into, which would make GP a GP/TTC board, this a T-TTC board, and T-TTC an IF board.

ETA: I had no intention of offending people when I posted I was simply going off the title and ttc for 6 months or more is where we are at. I didn't post on the Secondary IF board because I wouldn't consider us to be there yet.
secondary if means you're having trouble after you've already had one child... why don't you lurk there to see if you belong b/c it's not here... five months is nothing
did you read the fine print above, "Have you been trying to conceive for more than six months?" not did you start your sixth cycle

lurking would have taught you that we are unsupportive bitches.
Staycee, I missed it.

support from women going through the same thing
We are not going through the same thing, therefore you do not need our support.
exactly, htf do you know what I'm going through? honestly, until I get to know someone, I don't give a crap.
