Head/neck pain after D&C?

I had an emergency d&c do to blood loss; because it was urgent, I was put under general anesthesia.  I vaguely recall the anesthesiologist telling me my neck and shoulders might be sore after, but I feel like someone's beaten me with a bat. I can barely move my neck and everything from my head to my belly button hurts. I just wondered if anyone else has experienced something similar.  Thanks

    When I had my D&C about two weeks ago, I was under general anesthesia. The day of the D&C, I didn't have much pain except some cramping, but the next day when I woke up, I had such horrible pain around my neck, back, chest and abdomen. It hurt to sit up, to lay down, to do anything- I didn't sleep at all that night because I was so uncomfortable. But, by the end of the next day I was only a little sore and Tylenol did wonders for the pain. I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

    Thank you for sharing your experience.  I have no pain from the D&C, just in my neck, back, and abdomen like you. It's starting to ease up, I just didn't expect it to be so severe.  I hope that you're feeling better, and I'm sorry for your loss as well. It's a shame to meet the women on her under these circumstances.

    HI Stacy - sorry for the late response.  But I wanted to let you know that I had an emergency d&c due to blood loss as well, just about two weeks ago.  I don't recall anyone telling me I would have head/neck pain, but I certainly did the following days.  I felt like I had slept funny on my neck, which, maybe I did when I was in the hospital. 

     My neck is better, but I've had a consistent headache since the procedure.  I just called me doctor about it today, because I can't get rid of it. 

     So, you're not alone.  I don't know that the head/neck pain had anything specifically to do with the procedure, but I definitely shared the pain.
