NBR: List top five most beautiful women you admire

DH is a photographer, so we often get into discussions about what makes a model or celebrity "beautiful." For me, it's intelligence and elegance - traits that remain with a woman throughout the years.?

To stave off a few seconds of Thursday boredom, list the top five women you think embody your idea of beauty.

Here's mine:

1) Padma Lakshmi

2) Cate Blanchett

3) Dame Judi Dench

4) Thandie Newton

5) Salma Hayek

    I love Padma!!!

    Mine include some that are no longer with us:

    1. Audrey Hepburn.... she is my love.
    2. Angelina Jolie- I know people hate her but I have a girl crush and I love that she has adopted so many children.
    3. Cate Blanchett
    4. Kate Winslet
    5. Audrey Tautou
    **Mandy Moore would have been my #5, but she just married Ryan Adams. Sad He is a jackass.

    No particular order... Julia Roberts, Susan Sarandon, Meryl Streep, Sandra Day O'Connor, Kate Winslet. To me, beauty isn't all about looks; it's also how a woman carries herself, her views, her strength, etc. That's why I didn't pick any really young women..

    I love Angelina too. I think a lot of the hate is just jealousy and/or misunderstanding. She's a beautiful person in many ways. At least, I think so.

    Based on the more intellectual/philosophical ideas of beauty, combined with physical, mine would be:

    1) Penelope Cruz
    2) Catherine Keener
    3) Kate Winslet
    4) Meryl Streep
    5) Salma Hayek

    However, I have to say that JUST based on physical attributes, I think Kim Kardashian is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. I can't think of a single person on the planet I would want to look like more than her. Embarrassing, I know. Embarrassed
