Fabric softner/ static cling

What do you use to get the static out of LO's clothes? I don't use anything except Dye free detergent, but there is so much static in her blankets.

we put 1/2 cup of vinegar in a downy ball and throw it in the wash. it seems to help with the static in the dryer.

We didn't at first, but now we use Bounce free and clear dryer sheets and DD doesnt react at all.
