Babies: 9 - 12 Months

1st Birthday gift

Any great ideas for my little girl, not so little anymoreSad,  on her first bday?

Re: 1st Birthday gift

  • We had a few things in mind. We were going to get a little playground for outside. And Then we were also think about getting her a charm bracelet, that way each year we can get her a new charm...Even though I probably won't really let her wear it right away.

It's kinda hard to come up with ideas for this age.

  • Loading the player...
  • We bought it a little early, but we got her a kitchen set. It says ages 3+  but she's played with them before and loves them....plus we figure she'll use it for a long time.
  • - One Pearl.  You buy one each year for her until it makes a bracelet/necklace or earings.

-Write a birthday letter to her each year.  Assemble them all into a book and give at graduation. ( I am planning on doing this)

-A porcelan tea set.  One that she can play with when older

    -Engraved silver jewelry box.

    -A donation in her honor

I figure that my DS is going to get plenty of toys for his birthday from friends and relatives.  I plan on doing something special/unique.  He won't know a difference!

  • We got DS a sandbox for the backyard. It is 7'x8'. I thought he would get use out of it on the days we don't feel like going to the park.
  • We signed our son up for gymboree and I am putting together a time capsule for him to be opened up on his 18th birthday.  I am telling everyone in the family in advance so they can bring any special mementos that they want to put in it.  i will also give everyone a note card at the party so they can write him a little something.
  • Ideas: wagon, diamond earrings (for later when she's pierced), play kitchen, tea set, a colllection of shel silverstien books.......
