YAY I GOT MY MEMBRANES STRIPPED! HAS ANYONE EVER?

So I went to see my OB and she stripped my membranes to c if it will have me contract and maybe go into labor. I hope is does....she also stated that it might make me bleed a little. So everyone pray that i go into labor. yay.

Please write a note if you've have this done before and tell me the outcome if it really works. Thanks

I had mine done twice and was induced 3 days past my EDD.

I had mine done twice a week or two before my due date...I was induced 4 days after my due date.

how far along are you? ?it will only work if your body was ready anyway.

mine were stripped at 38 wks and my water broke 3 days later. ?i think it was completely unrelated as labor would start within 48 hours from membrane stripping if it works.?

I had mine done when I was overdue and had been having contractions for 24 hrs already. I was 3cm at the time. 14 hours later, dd was born. it intensified the contractions I was already having.

I am 38 week and 1 day. OB says the baby is right on top of my pelvic bone. This is my first time getting them stripped.Did you bleed after?

I had mine stripped with Katherine at 41 weeks. I think I was a little spotty after but nothing much. I starting having minor contractions that evening but didn't start having more regular ones until about 36 hours later.
