Threw away 500 oz today. Feel sad with me, okay?!

I pumped at work for a year so I have a TON frozen.  Great right?  Nope.  DD stopped taking EBM at 12 mos.  I can't give to a milk bank b/c I take zyrtec for allergies.  I have signed up on a milk exchange (can't remember the website) for 5 mos+ and have had no responses.  :(

Sooo...I went ahead and threw away half of my freezer supply today.

Just let this be a lesson for all you new mommies who are stressing about building a stash.  :)

    Ugh that soooo sucks.  I'm so sorry.  I can't imagine how you must feel.  I would be upset if I had to throw away my measly stash of 60oz!

    Oh my goodness SO SO sorry. I panic about my stash all the time. Did your LO just not want it anymore or you switched to reg milk?

    OMG!  I had to throw out around 100 oz. and even that had me on the verge of tears.

    Wow that is a lot!! My DD did exactly the same thing as yours! Well actually once she hit 11 months (before she started on cows milk) she decided she was not taking the frozen milk anymore so I ended up throwing away almost 200oz and it hurt! I actually did it in small batched (a few bags here or there!)  on the hope that she would take the frozen milk again but it didnt happen!

    Holy ***, I wish you had posted before you did this! Or if you did i wish I had seen it. I know many many moms who would have taken it off your hands, zyrtec and all. :(

    Hey StacieErin!  Haven't seen you on working moms board lately.  The same thing happened to me!  I didn't have 500 oz but I did have 100 and DD refused it at 12 months.  Plus the bank wouldn't take it b/c I didn't have 150 oz.  It sucks so much to waste it!!!  I'm sad for you!
