Will be PG for ever!

I dont post much but was wondering if anyone knows anyone in my position.  All my doctors have told me they would not let me go a week past my due date so i would more than likely have the baby by the 27th.  Well today at my appt i again have had no progress and now is showing  a bit of protein in my urine - Hardly thinned out and the doc springs on me that they may let me go to 42 weeks.  None of the other docs have said that.  I am ready to meet him and to start this part of our lives - They keep telling me that i could still go into labor but who are we kidding i will have to be induced.  Anyone know anyone or are themselves in this situation?  i

    I was in your similar situation and then boom, when I least expected it my water broke w DD.  So, there is still hope. Just keep doing what you can...walk, eat spicy food, have sex, etc. etc.

    Good luck! I want to go a little late but not to 42 weeks.

    I know you are looking for sympathy but I'm flat out. I'm past my due date, my body will not dilate. I see my doctor again on Monday for a possible induction a week from tomorrow.

     

    I know it sucks, but so does an induction on a body that isn't ready.

    Common medical opinion (according to my dr) is that the baby should be OUT by 42 weeks. They'll induce me at 41 1/2 weeks if I don't deliver on my own. Don't count out natural labor just yet!

    I agree.  There is no point in them inducing you if your body is not ready.  Your chance of a c-section is much higher at that point.  I am also in your same boat.  My Dr. won't let me go past 42.  So at my next appt on Monday if nothing, they will schedule my induction.  I am praying he comes on his own before then.

    I do know that protein in your urine can be a pretty bad sign. It is on of the first signs of Pre-E (along with headaches and swelling) and some other problems that I am not very familiar with.......

    I would def have them monitor that closely if I were you.....
