Graco Nautilus 3-in-1 Car Seat - Does anybody have one?

My son will be 4 in May and right now we have an Eddie Bauer 3 in 1 and on those you should only use the harness straps to 40lbs and then convert to a booster.  Well, my son is 45lbs and I am not ready to put him in a seat belt booster seat.  I know this Graco seat you goes up to 65lbs for a 5pt harness.  Does anybody have one and how do you like it?

  • We have one, LOVE it! My parents bought one for thier car (for Jake) too. It's a GREAT seat!

Ditto this.  We have one and we recently bought two more - one for my dad's car and one for DS's sitter.  It is a great seat.

  • We like it. I don't think it looks as comfy as the Decathalon he's uses in my car (it's for DH's car), but he likes it - and the cupholder :)

He's 3 1/2 and about 45 lbs.  It looks a little narrow for him, but he doesn't seem to mind.

  • It's the only one we've ever had & we have no complaints.

  • We have one but haven?t used it yet. We got it as an extra car seat for carpooling to daycare with our friends. It seems comfortable and easy to use though.

  • It works great for my DS.  He seems comfortable in it and I love that he can be harnessed longer.
  • We have one for each of our cars & my mom bought one too for her car.

We love it...esp. the 5-pt to 65 lbs thing.

    No complaints whatsoever.

  • We have one for each car and love it! As soon as DS2 is forward facing, we'll get two more for him.

Just some info - different stores have different fabric selections. We purposely bought ours at Target b/c the fabric was all suede. Some other stores have scratchier fabric accent areas. Not a big deal, but something to take a look at.

  • I echo what everyone else has said.  It's a great seat.  We "tested" it out as a seat for my mom's car, knowing we might get it for us, too.  We went from a Britax Roundabout (in my car) and Marathon (in DH's car) to this in BOTH cars.  (DD2 is using the convertibles any day now so DD1 had to get a new seat)

Not quite as cushy as the Britax, but I like that it should be "the last carseat we'll buy" for her.  Plus, it has little spots under the arm rests for her to put stuff in.  She'll put toys in those spots...and of course she likes the cup holder.  Smile

  • Thanks for everybody's input.  I was hoping not to buy another car seat, but DS is pretty big for the seat he is in now and I'm just not ready to put him in a seatbelted booster seat.  We'll probably go and buy one for each of our cars and I will feel more secure knowing he is safe.

Ditto this.  My mom's carseat was from Amazon.com and we specifically got the two for our cars from Target because of the fabric option there.  I really like the Target fabric better.

  • I've found it on Amazon for as little as $125. . . you should see if you can still get that price (or lower!)
