Quant hcg need help...

So i am suppose to be 8 weeks pregnant and i had some spotting for the first time over the weekend. it still was there today so i called the Ob on call..she did a bedside ultrasound and saw nothing...scheduled me for transvaginal ultrasound for tomorrow but wanted to go a quant hcg...my number was 2206 so they canceled the ultrasound tomorrow and am having more bloodwork done wed....now i aml ike 4 weeks pregnant...anyone have this happen to you?  this is not what i was looking forward to....how can i be that far back f om my pregnancy from 8 to almost 9 weeks to 4 or so weeks...they said i could have ovulated late adn to wait and see if my blood work doubles..but really what are th odds....thanks..sorry

    You very well may have ovulated yet, and hopefully your numbers will double on Wed.  Good luck and I hope the spotting stops.

    Pretty much this exact same thing happened to me today.  I'm supposed to be 6 weeks, and started spotting two days ago, which increased significantly today.  I went to the OB today, she did a transvaginal ultrasound and saw nothing.  She said my lining is thick and my cervix is closed which means my body is preparing for pregnancy and not passing anything, but no placenta, no sack.  She said I'm either much earlier than I thought, or the pregnancy isn't viable.  She also took blood and will test for HCG today and again in two days.  Same as you - we'll see if the numbers doubled and how far along I really am, or if the pregnancy isn't "good" as she put it.  Pretty nerve wracking.

    welli will be thinking double for you on wed....she never did a pelvic exam just a quick bedside ultrasound..please let me know how things go and i will let you know as well..."thinking double"

    Must be something in the air. I spotted last Wednesday and again this morning. I did the first part of my Beta today and will do the next one on Wednesday.

    Hi manderosity - Have you heard any results yet?  I had my second blood draw this morning and should have the beta hcq results in a few hours.  My bleeding seems to be slowing down and I feel better, but am really scared for the results today.  Thinking double thoughts for you too...
