Little cookie cutters. I'm into baking, so my mom and bff thought it would be cute to hand them out. They were in all different shapes, so guests could take whichever one they liked.
and we sprinkled the red, orange, and yellow mini pez refills around the centerpieces instead of confetti or flower petals. it was a huuuuuuuge hit!
ETA: woops, those were the favors at the actual wedding. the favors at my shower were frosted glass coaster sets that you could put pictures in....a little more traditional
I had 4" pots of African Violets for each place setting on the tables. Tossed in with some votive candles, they also served as my centerpieces.
EDIT: Duh, the above was for my wedding favors. I honestly have no idea what I had for shower favors. There were 75 people at my shower. I was lucky enough to remember my own name afterwards.
Magnets with our name and date on them. I also gave out some of those mints that you can buy at AC Moore or Michaels...the ones that are already individually wrapped.
I wanted to do personalized notepads...but we didn't have enough $. I ended up making the magnets myself.
i didn't have a wedding shower but dh's cousins' did. one made donation to the local food pantry and gave out wooden spoons with the donation card attached to it and the other gave out little pots of flowers, which i still have.
we are huge coffee drinkers so my MOH put together a plain white coffee mug with a small bag of coffee in it that read our names and "the perfect blend". She also included a small heart shaped coffee scoop and tied it all together with clear wrap and a ribbon that matched my wedding theme colors. everyone loved it.
Cookies! It came out to be pretty pricey, but we used a 'high-end' baker. The cookies were hearts with pink icing and K & J with a little flower on them. They were wrapped in clear plastic with pink tulle.

Ooops, that was for our wedding...for my bridal shower, my MOH got rose scented Yankee Candles (the little sampler ones) and wrapped them herself in tulle with little flowers. I guess you can get them all fancied up through Yankee Candle, but my MOH found it was way cheaper to do it herself.

lol yes yes you did. Well the shower favors where votive candles. with holders.
My friends shower was beach themed & we did sun visors, tote bags & flip flops all purchased at the dollar store.
Christmas shower for someone we did ornaments from the $$ store.
Can you tell I like the $$ store? lol
Sob...I eloped, so no shower.
But I threw a wedding shower once at a brew pub, and the favor was a mini-keg of pumpkin ale..it was an autumn wedding.
Expensive, but awesome, If I do say so myself...
It was a Measuring Cup with measuring spoons inside. Yes I know so 1950's but I did get a lot of cooking items at my shower.
It was decorated with pink & green (my wedding colors) tissue paper, flowers, and ribbons were tied on.
It was a really cute gift idea. I can look for a pic when I get home if this interests you.
