How cute!! I'm jealous it looks like you have really nice weather were you live. DS is still in his winter jacket. I can't wait to put him in a short sleeve onesie.
I've got a Canon Rebel XS. Those pictures were taken with a 50mm lens.
I have an Olympus digital SLR and my pics never come out that nice. I have taken a beginner SLR class, but I still can't seem to take such nice pics!
Do you have a 50mm lens? I wasn't getting pictures as good as these until I got the 50mm lens. It's sometimes referred to as a "portrait lens" and it makes all the difference!

Does it just says 50mm on the lens? I have 2 lenses and they both have a range...for example, the one is 40-150mm.

This is the lens I have (mind you, it's a Canon lens for a Canon camera):
cbwm.. Since I am a beginner, after you buy the lens, what setting do you use to take the pictures? DH and I are taking DD to savannah over Spring Break and I am hoping to get some really great shots of her. This may be my ticket to buying the lens!

I've been using it in portrait mode, sport mode, and manual mode.
This is a pic I took of my brother and his fiance in manual mode:
OMG your pics are so beautiful :O) and your son is so so freaking cute!
how much is the camara?
It retails for about $500, depending on where you get it from. DH found a STEAL on eBay for $400 (brand new!) and that included the camera, a UV haze filter, and a case.
GORGEOUS!! Ok, I think you have conviced me!!! I am going on the webiste right now!!!! So tell me did you photo shop it to be slanted or is that how you took it?

That's actually how I took it...
We found a spot with great lighting but unfortunately, it was in an alley between buildings that had a handicap ramp with railings. So I had one foot on one side of the railing, one foot on the other and I had the camera on a ball head tripod. I can't even imagine what I must have looked like, but the picture was totally worth it!
Yes, it must have looked funny, but it is beautiful! So do you do this professionally or just as a hobby?? I would love to keep in touch and get some tips from you!

Thank you!! My FSIL found a similar shot on some website and wanted it, so I was going to stop at nothing to make that happen!
I'm just doing this as a hobby, but from what I've been told, I should be doing it professionally.
Lets definitely keep in touch! nest.cbwm@hotmail.com
Re: AW! PIPs from the park yesterday!!
What a doll. I love kids in hats.
Can I ask what kind of camera you have?
Thanks!

To the PP, I cannot sing the praises of B & H Photo enough. They're absolutely amazing.

What's that green stuff behind him?!
LOL! It appeared out of no where! It was in the 30s last week and then all of a sudden yesterday, the grass was green!
