last fall when all the bathers were super duper marked down my mom and I went shopping. I was about 2.5 months pp so I didn't bother trying them on. I just picked out one size bigger than I normally am.
I remember thinking that they were kinda low cut in the back but that was it. I just tried them on. frak. seriously looks like something Paris Hilton would be wearing and last I checked I wasn't a super skinny 5'10 heiress. The sides are cut out to show off my toned slim waist but instead of a toned slim waist I have a flabby, cupcake stretch marked gut.
They are so cute on the rack but not so cute on me. I don't think that even if I was, say 30lbs less that they would be appropriate for me to wear. lol. I also tried on my bikinis...just because you can stretch something over you doesn't mean you should...
Re: omg, my new bathing suit...
Love this line!
Don't be so hard on yourself though.
i think I will just get a tankini too from somewhere. I have been wearing a tank top with a shelf bra in it with a bikini bottom to the pool at my moms, but that is just my mom, my h and my kid who see me. i have an obscene number of bathers I can't wear.
haha, bathers. I never noticed that I say that.
funny though, I am smaller now than many chicks I see at the lake all summer long who wear 2 pieces. If they can, I should be able to too!
eek. lol. sounds like how i feel and look! i am totally sporting the tankinis this summer.
i may be able to fit in my old jeans but trust me NO ONE wants to see me naked - - or in in a bikini. my stomach is very scary!
I'm with you - I think my bikini days are OVER. Even though I didn't get any stretch marks, the belly flob is just hideous, eight months later. Ick.
The worst part is that I live about 1/2 a mile to the beach, so I'm there all the time! I'll be shopping for a lovely muu muu soon.
