i know its normal when you arent 'high risk' and i thank god that i am not high risk...but i was so looking forward to seeing the babes today at my appointment!!! the dr told me that the only way i would see the babes before my 20w ultrasound is if i get the first tri screening which isnt necessary if im not 'high risk'...but i can opt to do it. im going to have to talk to my insurance co. to see if its going to go towards my deductible...
oh well..i guess i have to learn a bit about patience...atleast we got a healthy report from blood work/urine!! thats def. a positive note!!!

Check to see what your insurance will cover and then talk to your doc to see if you can get an earlier U/S. I am actually surprised by the number of ladies on the board that have had a U/S at their first appt. without being high risk. I would think most insurances wouldn't cover it.
I'm at 12 weeks and I am having my NT Scan on Thurs. but I am old bird (35).
yes, be very thankful you are not high-risk.
I had 6 u/s's by 18w. But that is the ONLY good thing about high-risk. I worry everyday regarding this pregnancy.

ditto. I'm having my first u/s tomorrow, and frankly I'm terrified of what they might find. Or not find, for that matter.
definitely frustrating. At my 11 week appointment I got to hear the heartbeat. But won't see Baby C until 19 weeks.
I'll just enjoy puking until then
