2nd Trimester

I feel like Im the only one and can't relate...

Am I the only one that has absolutely nothing to complain about when it comes to my partner....? He's amazing. I am not trying to rub it in but he does more for me than I have ever done for myself. He cooks, does the dishes, cleans, does the laundry, takes care of the dogs every morning so I can sleep in and offers to rub me just about every night...even offers to give me pedicures...

I am seriously one of the luckiest girls on here.....but he is just as lucky as he reminds me daily....

So, lucky ladies....What's the sweetest thing your partner has done for you since you have been pregnant...?

When we let go of fear, only then we gracefully move from what was, into the miracle of what can be.

Re: I feel like Im the only one and can't relate...

  • My DH is pretty sweet himself. He hates giving me massages and will only do a half a$$ job but my back pain has been terrible the past 2 days and he gave me a nice long massage last night to ease the pain.

  • You are blessed.  Mine thinks he deserves a big pat on the back because he loaded the dishwasher..lol.  God knows I love him.
  • DH bought me 8 Cadbury creme eggs from a drug store 30 minutes away after we scoured 3 different stores in-town looking for them.

  • He generally takes good care of me. He took me to Cold Stone one night when I had been craving chocolate earlier that day (it had passed already, but it was so sweet of him). And he sent me flowers at work a few days before Valentine's Day (he doesn't usually do stuff like that). Overall, he is a really great husband and I rarely have a thing in the world to complain about with him.

  • My man is perfect

I mean...he does snore, burp, occasionally fart when he thinks I can't hear him, leave his socks everywhere, doesn't understand where the laundry basket is, leaves his cigars outside, eats all my icecream, keeps taking all of the remotes and putting it in one room, doesn't know how to program a DVD, plays the music too loud

    You know and other stuff.

    But he's perfect

  • You're not the only one. My DH has been amazing since we found out we were pregnant. I can't remember the last time I did a load of laundry, he has been making me dinner (per my crazy cravings) and keeping the house clean.. and all around just looking out for my comfort and safety.?

I'm sure even the ladies who post a vent about their DH's feel just as lucky to have them in their lives.. Lord knows I need to vent every once in a while, too,I just usually do so with my sister. :)?

  • DH is so sweet all the time, but especially since BFP!

We usually split housework about 50/50 -- I do laundry, ironing, vacuuming, cook dinner; he dusts (I mean to and sometimes do, but it's my most hated chore, so I often put it off and he just does it before I get around to it), does dishes, cooks breakfast (except on weekends..we trade off) and packs our lunches.

But if I'm laying down and the washer/dryer goes off, he leaps up to get the clothes and puts them away before I can; he offers to or helps me cook dinner any time I even say "I can't wait to get these shoes off" or have any pain or fatigue....

He's so cute.  I try not to take advantage of it, but it really is nice being taken care of so well now, and I can only imagine how helpful he'll be when the baby's here and I need help with the baby AND for myself (so I can get showered, etc, while he watches the baby a while)!

  • You ARE lucky!!!  My DH is pretty sweet, too, but we both go in on the household duties so I'm not off the hook there, lol.  He regularly gets me flowers which I think is sweet!  I think he's looking for a ticket to get laid though... poor guy.  I'm just not feeling the sex lately, hah.  He does little things like pick up sweet treats for me at the grocery store, too.  Edible surprises are always the best surprises!

  • My DH is pretty great too. He doesn't do housework unless asked, because he knows I am very particular about how things are done.?

He calls me every night from work around the time he knows I start to feel nauseas, to ask how I am doing. And he rubs lotion on my bellly every night. ?

MH is great all the time not just now that I'm pg.  I don't complain about him because I'm lucky to have him.

  • Mine doesn't come up with sweet things to do on his own, but he will do WHATEVER I ask him to.
  • Even though he has his annoying habits, he does do a lot. He's been on laundry duty, he drives to McDonald's whenever I ask him to, he listens to me vent about anything and everything and he's been bringing home my favorite sweets without me even asking, lol.
  • The sweetest thing he's done is STFU.

Kidding.  I rip on my husband a lot but that's just the nature of our relationship.  He's an amazing guy who would do anything for me.  The sweetest thing he's done is work his asss off to bring in the additional chunk of cash we need to move to the 3br penthouse down the street.  At the end of the days, he doesn't *** about work, he is excited because he's making a boatload of cash that gets us closer to moving.  I love seeing him that excited.  It's the sweetest thing he could do for us both.

  • My hubbie has been pretty sweet, too. It's easy to complain about things, but I know he's making such a big effort and being more than understanding. Best thing he's done: foot rubs AND backrubs every night. He's awesome.

  • I get a back rub whenever I want one...but I had that luxery since pre-pregnancy.

I'd say the sweetest thing my DH has done this pregnancy is turn the other cheek after some pretty horrid mood swings of mine.

  • My DH takes the dog out, every time.  He does not do laundry though....he's afraid of shrinking something.  He helps me fold though.  So that counts for something.
  • He has always been a sweetheart...so pregnancy only made him better.  I would say the bi-weekly professional massages is the greatest thing he has done.

I have always been super lucky.

  • I don't have too much to complain about DH for.  He's been so wonderful throughout this pg...even more so than I expected.  :-)
  • oh, the only thing i can complain about is his messiness...other than that, he is wonderful.
  • My DH is great, too.  He knows that cleaning up any and all dog (and now cat) messes are completely his job.  He didn't even get mad at me the time I got home an hour before him, saw the dozen piles of poo all over our house (very sick dog), let the dogs out and went for a nice long walk.  (I would have puked if I had even tried to clean up the mess.)  Since I've been pregnant, almost every day he asks me if I need him to pick up anything on his way home from work and he has been super helpful and thoughtful.  He answers questions like "Is pototo chips or noodles with butter a healthier dinner?" correctly and reassures me whenever I am worried.  The real sign that he was great was that a couple days ago, he brought me chocolate milk and strawberry milk without being asked, because he just figured I would have heartburn.  Plus, he knows that I think flavored store milk is too strong, so he brought some white milk for me to mix them with.  (All my coworkers thought it was odd, but I was very impressed.)
  • He paid scary amounts of money to send me and a girlfriend on a pregnancy spa weekend. I couldn't believe he even thought of such a sweet idea let alone bought it.

  • He started driving me to work at 7 weeks so that I could sleep later. I was taking the bus.
