Baby aspirin and Prometrium?

I called my dr today when I found out I was pregnant (4 weeks! ?My ticker isn't working right now) because I wanted to set up my first appointment and ask some questions. ?One of my questions was how can I keep this baby going?! ?(I have had only one pregnancy before and it resulted in m/c at 12 weeks - pathology reports were normal). ?Her nurse called me back and said that I can take a baby aspirin once a day and that she could call in a prescription for Prometrium. ?She said the latter was up to me and didn't really provide much more information than that. ?Has anyone done either of these things? ?Can you educate me about the pros/cons? ?I went ahead and bought the aspirin tonight after doing some research but I'm hesitant about the progesterone, especially since I never heard that I had any trouble with my progesterone levels. ?

    Well, I take baby asprin, along with extra folic acid, b6 and b12 b/c of MTHFR. I would say that unless she's tested your progesterone levels and they're low, there isn't really a need to have a supplement. HTH

    I took both baby aspirin and prometrium with this pg. You could request to have your progesterone levels tested if you are hesitant. My levels were still within the normal range, but had dropped quite a bit so I requested the supplements. My ob said that they can't do any harm and it made me feel better to be taking them.

    I take baby aspirin and took prometrium up until last week.  There is no harm in it and you don't know if it may help.  I would take both.  I took Prometrium with DS and he is fine.

    I took both with this pregnancy (on Prometrium from 3DPO to 13 weeks & on baby aspirin since BFP).  I have a known progesterone deficiency & a mild form of a clotting disorder though.  I would definitely recommend taking both medications as they can only help, not harm, the baby.

    I took both with this pregnancy. I'll never know if that was what helped or my bad luck just finally ran out.
