Anyone have experience and can weigh in?
I just read a scary review on citysearch saying that she heard they conduct routine episiotimes, and they laughed at her desire to go natural. is this true?
I met with Dr. roberts - she seemed very pro epidural (which is fine with me) but did mention they do support natural birth plans. I am terrified of being unnecessarily cut into. and also i don't know the other doctors there, and what their views are -they could be on call on the big day.
please let me know of your experiences!
Re: Abington OBGYN Associates?
I love all the doctors in this practice. I have not had a negative experience yet.
Awesome. who's your doc?
-also, are any of you considering using a doula? Are they open to them? I know a lot of people who saw midwives in stead of an OB -(typical at some area hospitals now) and that in comparison the OB doesn't have the time to spend with you to help you relax, and work through the contractions. I am not looking to go natural, but I'd like to aviod c-section if possible.
Dr. Fonslick delivered my daughter 5 weeks ago. I went natural and did not have an episiotomy. I did have a doula (who I would HIGHLY recommend! let me know if you need the name) and couldnt gotten through it without her.
I love Dr. Tannenbaum and Meigs but would say Dr. Fonslick wasnt very supportive of natural. I am not sure I will use them if we go for #2...I would probably pick a MW.
Good luck!
Jesse5774 -i'd love the name of your doula. I just heard another story of a friend who lost a lot of blood in a c-section (in London, but still the whole idea terrifies me). Were they supportive of the doula, or did they think you were high maintenance for having one? I have no idea what is the norm...
if you were to pick a MW, where would you go? would you stick with Abington hospital? can you have that option at Abington? Abington is literally down the street from me, so very convenient.
thanks in advance!
