2nd Trimester

shaving you arms..?

i think i did this once when i was 12 & i was convinced i was going to be an olympic swimmer- but not since.

my friend told me to "come on in" when she was in the bathroom- and when i walked in she was shaving her arms. i was like, "you shave your arms?!" and she was like, "yeah, don't you?"

no- no i do not. i always figured arm hair was a given.

Re: shaving you arms..?

  • Wont it grow in more heavily if you shave it?? I have arm hair, but I'm not wolf like or anything LOL. If I did have lots of hair I might think about it.

  • Shaving my legs, armpits, and bikini line is enough...I don't need to add my arms to that list!

  • i mean, she is hairy- but yeah. she also shaves her toes (which i can understand because hairy toes freak me out)

i recall shaving my face at the age of 6 because my dad did it- i also recall the massive scab from almost shaving my lip off in the process.

  • I would never shave my arm hair because it grow back twice at thick!

If I had really hairy arms, I'd use laser hair removal to get rid of it.  Or wax...but definitely not shave.

  • my mom shaves her arms which is pointless because the hair is thin and barely shows.

I used Nair on my arms for my wedding.  That's probably what I would do again.  Definitely wouldn't shave them!

  • Im embarassed to admit that I do! My arm hair very blond and I have very little (it's like peach fuzz.) but what I do have sticks straight up! I've done it off and on for about 10 years and it's never grown in thicker or darker.
  • I shave my arms, and as mgransdell said...it hasn't come back thicker or darker.  It all started when I was tanning all the time, my arms would not get dark....they said that it would help if I shaved them.  So I did...and it did.  And even though I don't tan I still like them better shaved.
  • Why does everyone think it comes back thicker and darker? I shave my arms because the hair was darker near my elbows and it drove me nuts (not to mention when I had to tape my wrists it hurt if there was hair there). I shave them maybe once a week really fast (it doesn't take that long) and it has never grew in faster, darker, thicker or any other myth. I've let it grow back out before and just prefer not having the hair. If it was all blond it would probably be a different story!
  • I have been shaving mine since I am 12.

  • I didn't shave my arm hair, but when I was a teenager it was quite dark so I bleached it. Took only a few minutes but was worth it.
