Our "government correspondant" just called me. He needs me to create a list of every VIN that we no longer know who the owner is so I can check them state by state for a recall notice). That's about 2-3000 vehicles in the past 15 years. WTF dude. Plus it took him a rambling 30 minutes of umms, uhhhh, and twisted confusion on the phone for me to figure out WTH he wanted!
Please..just shoot me now.

The why: Effin government regulations on recalls of commercial passengar vehicles (have to keep the public safe) AND because he and upper management are too lazy to do it themselves so they give it to me.
I spent three months last summer tracking the vehicles down and these were the ones that I could not find owners for because they had been sold off so many times (probably sitting in a junk yard somewhere) so NOW they want me to do this..which means I have to requisition EACH state to look up the VINS, submit payment requests to pay the states for their services etc and go STATE BY EFFIN state....
