  Yeah after she told me that I figured I wouldnt have gone into labor on my own any way. Good thing I'm being induced.

  I had an appt today, too.  I'm also a fingertip dilated and the baby still hasn't dropped. 

  I asked the doc if she thought I'd actually deliver by my due date.  She kinda laughed at me (nice, right?) and then said that she doesn't think I'll deliver by my due date but that she also doesn't think I'll make it to 41 weeks.  I haven't the slightest idea what made her make that prediction, but I sure hope I go before 41 weeks!  My next appt is 5 days after my due date; I'm going to be bummed if I make it that far!

  Honestly, though, I think I'm going to end up being induced.  The longest they'll let me go is Apr 1 or 2, so I'm planning for an April baby while keeping my fingers crossed for a March one.

  I feel ya. At least there's an end in your future. I'm still 1/2cm. They'll talk induction on Monday.

  I have been 2cm since last week.  No action.  I don't think that stuff matters too much, they come when they come.  Only 65% of them come by their due date excluding inductions and scheduled c/s according to the poll I did on 0-6 months yesterday.  Oddly, I got the similar results when I did a poll including inductions and c/s

  PSA: Read up about Bishop's Score before your induction- and ask your doctor what yours is and how that might impact your induction's effectiveness.  If your score is high you are more induceable- but you're also more likely to go into labor on your own soon anyway!

  Seriously!

  The doc today told me to try rocking on my birth ball to get things going faster.  Riiiiight.  The squatting and tailor sitting haven't done me a lick of good so far, and ditto for the 3 mile hike over the weekend, the long walks with the dogs, sex, and lots of yard work.  But sitting on the damn birth ball is going to do it.  Don't think so!

  I think he's just all cozy in there and isn't going to come out until he's forced out!  Bah!
