I will take the first post on this one. Its an hour before my third pilates class. I took two last week and I also walked a mile and a half on an off day. Pilates is awesome. I feel wonderful afterwards. I cannot even explain it. Excercise is usually hateful and such a chore for me but if I could I would do pilates every day. Once I am into it a little more and its not so "new" I am going to get a video so that I can do it at home on the weekends or add another workout during the week.
As for food - well - lol. I am not dieting. I am trying to make better choices but I am going to try just doing it on my own and excercising for a while. Just the word or act of dieting makes me fail lately so I am doing it my way for a while. I have not been eating great, though, especially on the weekends. I like all of those bad carbs way too much. I am not weighing in until Friday. We shall see!
How is everybody doing?
Re: Lets Get Fit - Week 2
Yay for posting! Mel, you are doing amazing!!! I am so proud of you and pilates!!!
Me- I walked 3 days last week and it felt GREAT. I walked about 3 miles each time. As far as food- I think I did pretty decent for the most part (I ate a bit much on Thursday when I met up with the girls at the Falls, but I made up for it during dinner). The weekend killed me though, I ate way too much and all sorts of things I shouldn't of eaten (like ARBY's). I am not going to let that discourage me though! As long as Nadia is in good spirits (she is a moody little teether), I will be hitting the sidewalk today at 6pm.
A few years ago I gave up soda (all of it- even diet). I lost like 10 pounds (over time) by just doing that! I was drinking a lot of it and it was hard to stop- but you can do it! I started with just not having it with lunch and then once that was accomplished I went to not drinking it with dinner and then I only allowed it in restaurants and then little by little I don't have any at all. GOOD LUCK!
I'm doing good but I really started this weekend.
I took the dog to the park Saturday and Sunday for an hour and walked as she ran around. I decided I am going to do this (trying for both days) every weekend and alternate with walking during the week around the golf course/community.
I finally took out the jogging stroller today and we went for a 3 mile walk today and I plan to do this every morning, weather permitting. I want to try to get out by 8am tomorrow instead of 9:30 today.
Started my diet, corn flakes in the morning and a healthy choice meal for lunch but I am going to Public to get salad for the rest of the week and I am trying to cook new reciepes this week as well.
Isn't the stroller fabulous? It's seriously so easy to push considering it's such a big stroller! Did Madison like it? Nadia never complains in there! I bet she looked tiny. Nadia is starting to look good in there now. Before she looked lost. LOL!
I did good all weekend and bombed on the weekend. Didn't work out, ate lots of yummy cake (Eli and I baked it for MH Birthday), and BBQ hot dogs/macaroni salad, and yummpy Hawaiian Sweet rolls....I'll need to kick it up a notch this week!!
As many of you know, I'm still on WW and now I'm really struggling since my hormone levels are still up and I'm limited to certain excercises for 3 months. Though I am happy to say that Feb 11th I made my 1 year anniversary on WW and lost a total of 60 pounds to date. For the past 6 weeks or so I have stayed the same due to everything going on but I'm still focused and doing what I need to do. Glad to see other nesties in the healthy streak. I need all the recipes or motivation I can get.
Mari-
I absolutely LOVE the stroller. IMO it is so worth the extra money. The ease of going offroad/sidewalks is so nice. I love the front wheel! I put Madison's soft positioner thing in it and she fell asleep after a half an hour. We are going again but earlier and I can't wait.
