Those damn things (Motherhood, Destination, Pea in a Pod) are sized in a way that DON'T fit me. The "medium" which is a 36 is too small for my 36DD's and the "large" (size 38) is too big.
And I was looking at what they have for nursing bras (for future reference) and they barely have my size NOW. My boobs are going to balloon even further when my milk comes in. I'm royally screwed.
I think I'm going to have to GUESS at first (order one cup size up from where I am in my 9th month) and hope it won't take too long to order H's or higher. Who knows how huge I'll be.
Re: Stupid Sleep Bras! Grrr!
I originally have 36DD's, which are now.... god knows what. G's or H's.
I'm using a wireless bra from Dillards as a sleep bra. For nursing bras I suggest Bravissimo. I haven't tried their nursing bras yet, but I love their normal bras and swimwear. They, well, fit!
I was a 38DD prior to pregnancy too. I tried on a 40E at Motherhood, and the cup didn't come close to covering my guns. I have no idea what to do, I did however just find on the Motherhood website, they sell plus size nursing bra's. I might have to unfortunately go the plus size route to carry these things.
Sleep bras basically are just no-seam bras, from what I can see. and have tried.
sports bras are very similar, but finding them in these sizes is just as difficult. And they tend to be way more expensive.
I've already purchased bras from a specialty store but they didn't have many of those no-wire sports bra type things to sleep in. So I tried A Pea in the Pod and there was nothing that fit.
For those who don't know, a sleep bra is a soft support bra to keep your breasts supported while you're sleeping. I don't want saggy boobs.
But thanks for the suggestion about going two weeks before my due date to buy nursing bras, MrsJY. That's a good idea and I'll buy a cup bigger (per my doctor) so they'll fit.
And to whomever suggested Bravissimo?thanks. I bookmarked the link for future reference. Especially for the swimwear. If my belly returns to pre-pregnancy size, I can finally get a bikini that's supportive.

Ive had such a problem finding a bra to fit me. I bought a few larger 'regular' bras that dont fit right, then I went to motherhood and nothing fit. The employee there told me I would have to go to a specialty shop.I was so irritated. Pre-pg I am a 36D, she told me I was not a 42F. Uh, no.
I was at target yesterday and picked up a nursing bra size 38D and it fits like a dream! its so lacy and cute too. From now on I am a target bra girl.
As for sleeping bras, just get a loser fitting sports bra or a tighter fitting racer back tank with a shelf bra.
I have some of those too and they fit for a couple of weeks but as I am still growing I find myself popping out in the middle of the night. I wear mine backward now. My DH laughs but at least I am staying in. It will have to work for the time being. Good luck!
