We went away for the weekend with Madeleine. I'm totally wiped out. I'm sure it didn't help that it rained the entire time and we were stuck inside, but, wow, was that a lot of work. We traveled cross country with her when she was five months old and that was a breeze as compared to this weekend.
She freaked out when we put her to bed in the pnp, she screamed bloody murder in restaurants, she crawled all over the place and got into everything, and she cried when new people looked at her. I am so glad to be home.
I don't think I'm ever leaving again.

Uh-oh, this makes me even more nervous! I leave on Friday to visit my parents in FL with DD ... alone. DH is staying home to work and take care of our dogs.?
This is the first time I've traveled alone with her, and I'm worried that it's going to be absolutely a mess!?

Thanks! I haven't traveled by plane with her since she was about six months old, so yeah, I'm anticipating that this time will be pretty different.?
Luckily, my parents only get to see her every few months and will have no reservations about letting me sleep so they can get some baby-time. Assuming that DD doesn't get overwhelmed by stranger anxiety and insist on clinging to me ... we'll see!
