  I would call my doctor and ask WHY he'd asked me to wait 2 cycles. I would also ask him what would happen if I didn't wait, in his opinion. Then I'd weigh that with my wants and needs and move forward from there. Good luck!

  Good advice.  Our situations could be different but I was told to only wait one cycle.  GL!

  M/C #1 - BFP 12/28/2008. Confirmed m/c at 6wks - blighted ovum on 1/9/2009. M/C #2 - BFP 6/16/2009. Confirmed m/c at 7wks - blighted ovum on 7/1/2009.

  The only reason why he told me to wait on my f/u appointment was to make it easier to date the next pregnancy and to "get over" this loss...

  Mine told me the same thing after both m/c. She said the reason is that the body needs time to recuperate, and if it happened before then,it could jeapordize the next pregnancy too.  Other people's Dr. told them one was fine, so who knows!

  TBH, I would be pretty upset if my doctor told me that.

  In my searching, I actually found a study that said that women who get pg right away after a loss actually do better emotionally than women who ttc for a while.

  I read that also about getting pregnant right away. My hubby and myself are SO ready to try again but im afraid that something might happen if we dont wait another cycle, but something could happen even if we do wait another cycle...so confused!

  Only you can judge whether you are emotionally ready to TTC again.

  I posted below that I believe my doc told me it was technically ok to get PG right away because I seemed really upbeat at my followup appt. And I was, on that day. I suspect she was making assessment about how well I was handling my loss and how well I would handle TTCAL. But that's hardly a psych evaluation....?

  I want to be mom in the worst way, and what Im going through isnt made easy by my sisters 4 month old niece. I love her with all my heart,but sometimes its hard. I am ready in my heart and in my head to ttc again, but like all of us amd afraid if i do get pregnant before the second af it will be my fault for not waiting..Im sorry, just venting!

  I had the same issue. ?I started going to a new doctor when I moved here to NC. ?I had been going to the same doctor for years and years. ?Anyway, my new dr told me to wait 2 cycles, like yours. ?She really scared me. ?She did my D&E and I really liked her and trusted her. ?But then I got to thinking after about a month went by and I was feeling really good physically and psychologically - ready to try again. ?I called my old doctor (who has much more experience and knows me really well). ?She said to just wait one cycle. ?So... that's what we did. ?I still feel guilty about it, so I know exactly what you're going through!

  I really trust my OBGYN, but we really want to ttc now. But i guess in the grand scheme of things whats one more month?

  Did your doctor mention anything about your lining? I know some docs say to wait 2-3 cycles after the d&c so that your body can heal. I know you shed the lining with AF but it's something about giving it more time b/c a d&c can thin it more?

   With that being said I have a friend who got pg before AF even came, she ovulated after her d&c and her pregnancy went fine, she had 3 losses prior to that.

  all my dr said was to wait 2 cycles to get my body back to "normal" so i guess he means my uterus lol...The more and more i talk about it, the more i think its smart to just do what he says...

  How "normal" was AF when she showed?  I wanted to ttc after 1, but AF was almost completely old blood......so I decided to wait a second cycle....and my 2nd one was much more normal. 

  I was also on the pill (for 8 years) and got pg my first cycle after going off.  I was on the pills for irregular periods, but so far, mine have been very normal since the mc (35 day cycles).  So hopefully yours will be the same!!!

  AF was normal when she showed...not be be gross but it was very "fresh" blood and i had terrible cramps for about 4 days. When i got off the pill i too got my period right away then got pg. I just got over my period last week and ill be ovulating this week so i really want to start trying...My periods that ive had so far have been normal
