  I heard there is something in it (i THINK it's prostaglandin or something) that helps the cervix get soft...but i'm not 100% certain

  My NP told me that the prostaglandin helps soften the cervix which can help move the process along.

  That is what our childbirth instructor said...she said it was more effective than cervadil.
