Re: vent & need advice

  • If its that bad I would call your doctor.  Maybe they can prescribe Zofran or something to help with the nausea.  Hope you feel better soon and try to get some rest today!

  • I know you feel bad, but we all do. ?I have been throwing up almost daily since 6 weeks. ?I've had like 5 good days. ?Really the only advice I have for you (which is harsh) is suck it up. ?My doctor told me that anti-nausea meds do have some risk to them and I know I would never take anything that could potentially not be safe for my baby (unless my life was being threatened by a disease or something). ?Many girls on here are having a hard time, but it's just part of pregnancy. ?Do I want to be throwing up 3 or more times a day...no. ?Will I for my baby...yes.

thanks amy....im sorry for whining....I'm just having a hard time like I am sure everyone else is...

  • I went through a rough patch too.  Most people do.  It's all part of the miracle of pregnancy.  Part of my advice is "suck it up" as a PP said... but you also need to start paying very close attention to what your body is telling you.  I noticed that my m/s was the worst at night, and on days that I hadn't gotten enough sleep... so I try to get in bed an hour earlier now.  I take a nap if I need it.  I ask for help when I need it (supposed to have someone cut the grass any minute now)... and I asked the Dr. for meds.  I don't like taking them, so I don't take them twice a day as prescribed.  Instead, I take one when I feel like I won't be able to keep dinner down if I don't.  I got the bottle over two weeks ago and have only taken 6 pills.

  • With my first pregnancy, I was so sick for five months. So sick. All day, every day. So far it is ok in this one but it is really early. I am prepared for the suffering. The gift at the end makes it all worth it.
  • Throw in the hormones, and if you are prone to horomones being totally out of whack, then you could really be struggling - do talk to your doc. ?I was having really abnormal amounts of anxiety at first and my doc did want to keep an eye on it because post partum depression doesn't just pop up after the baby is born - sometimes they can see it coming and help you out.

be really good to yourself. ?let things go -if you can't get it all done around the house, don't do it. ?if you need to sleep, sleep. ?if you need to eat cheerios, eat cheerios for 2 weeks. ?really be good to yourself and don't feel an ounce of guilt. ?I'm so tired i can barely drive in a straight line so i go right ahead and nap - at one point i was probably taking 2 naps a day, 3 on weekends!?
