  I will be delivering at Lutheran General.  I was at Nortwestern until yesterday b/c I got fed up with feeling like a # there. I took my file and went to Lutheran General - where I was sent to Labor and Delivery by the receptionist (by mistake of course). The nurses up there made calls for me and a Dr. took time out of his day to talk to me for a half hour and decided that I can be his patient - I was in his office for my monthly check up this morning and had and ultra sound. Dr. introduced me to the nurses and they were so so great and kind and helpful - I couldn't believe that there were Dr.s and Nurses that took time to know you.  I am so very impressed, relieved, and grateful for Lutheran General.  Good luck in your decision!

  I am an L&D nurse at another hosp in the city, and I delivered at Luthern, and LOVED it!!! I loved it there. The food is awesome, it was such a nice stay there. I was there for 5 days too!!! Loved it,,,and the new hosp they are building will be done and they have beds for the dads!!!

  Thanks for the information!  I also found out that they are finishing up construction, making all the rooms private and this should be done by the time I am due in October, so that pretty much sealed the deal for me!
