Does anyone take the mini pill? Any cons to taking it?

    I am on the mini pill.  My OB said to switch to the regular pill at 6 mos when we started solids b/c of risk of pg but I chose to just add condoms since I did not want the regular pill to mess up my supply.

    So far, no pg at 15 mos!  Knock on wood!

    You need to make sure you take it at the same time every day more so than regular birth control or it may not work

    I used the mini pill for six months and took it religiously at the same time, we didn't have any pregnancy scares.  I stopped taking it due to my body not doing well with it, I dropped ten pounds within a week of stopping it.  HTH

    I was on it after having my first.

     I started having break through bleeding about a year pp. (No period though) The dr said that because it is such a low dose of the pill that it sometimes happens.
