Are you planning on using a bassinett , a playyard or both during the first couple of months. I was thinking we needed a bssinett for our room and the playyard would just be ab extra but my husband thinks we don't need the bassinett. What are you ladies doing? TIA

We're going to put a pack and play in our room for the first few months, then switch to a crib in baby's room. I think bassinetts are cute but unless you have the extra money its not really worth it since a pack and play can function the same way and be used later on too. I also like how the pack and play has an attached changing table and a bit of storage for diapers and other handy things for middle of the night changes.
Edit: also, the pack and play has added features that a lot of bassinetts don't like music and vibrations.
We're going to get the arm's reach co-sleeper which also have a pack n' play type feature for when they're bigger.
We are using the bassinett on the pack n play
