My DH and I are currently unable to afford a bigger place, so we are going to have to share our bedroom with the baby. I don't mind this, but does anyone know how to integrate a nursery with the parents room? The baby's bedding is jungle themed (I'm making the bedding).
Re: Anyone not able to have a nursery?
A lot of babies start off in with mom and dad.........We plan on a nursery but will start off with a bassinet in our bedroom. I have seen cribs in with moms also. You can just section it off and decorate a particular area for the baby.

When I was born my parents lived in a one-room studio. They pained a corner in a dinosaur theme and put my crib there. They said it worked out well because they liked having me close and trust me, I didn't know the difference! I've seen pics- it was cute!
DH & I are moving back to WA when DD is 6 weeks so we aren't bothering with a nursery here. Once we get back we'll be renting good knows what so I don't know how long it will take before she has an official nursery.
And with all these "nursery" posts I thought I was the only one! Glad to find out I'm not alone.
DH and I live in a cosy and wonderful 1 bedroom (800sq ft). The location is great (and we can aford it) so we've no intentions of moving soon.
I've definitley devoted brian power trying to figure out how we're going to fit crib, changing table, stroller and more into our currently packed place. I've started purging old crafts/projects, clothes, etc. It's actually been super rewarding: either finishing things (wedding album! ha!) or tossing them.
I'm not planning to do much decorating though, so can't be help there: I guess I'm a bit of a minimalist. I figure between the crib, changing table, and rocking chair we already owned it will feel cosily "baby-ish" in once corner.
