making squash puree - white spots - HELP!

Hi ladies,?

I have made butternut squash before for my DC - I cut it in half, bake it at 400 degrees, just like wholesome foods says. This time after I baked it, there are little white spots in the center - they weren't there before I baked it. Anybody know what they are - it looks like mold almost, but there is no way it is that! Help!!

Thanks!?

  • no idea.  I'm assuming you didn't use salt right?

I would just scrape them off and puree away.  If it wasn't there before hand it's not mold.

  • I got these too and just scraped them off and pureed. :)

  • I got the same thing when I baked it up. I just scraped them off. I don't know what they were, but I'm sure they're harmless.
