I bought the box (chef boyardee cheese pizza kit) and two pizza pans as well as toppings to put on this. But just not so sure about the whole box idea. Any ideas?
i've made different brands (but similar)...it's not *quite* homemade pizza, but it's not bad. Better than totino's or joeys or tony's or whoever now owns the cheap cardboard pizza chains.
I'll also say (assuming the crus is the pre-baked stuff that's rather like pita bread), brush it w/ a bit of olive oil, then put on the sauce, then sprinkle everything (sauce + oiled crust) all over w/ garlic powder, oregeno & Italian seasoning. (parm. cheese doesn't hurt either)
Thanks! I guess I will risk this. Off to the kitchen to try to make this pizza.
GBCK... I second your thoughts on tonys and the others. I do not like frozen pizza. So if this is better then you made my day by saying what you said.:)
Scared about the cheese though... I didn't buy extra cheese and it is snowing so I don't want to get out. Crosses fingers that it will taste semi good with less cheese.

Re: pizza in a box?
chef boyardee pizza is one of my all time favorite things.
it is awful, but i love it.
not sure you can call it pizza though. its like its very own food.
ETA: ditto Fred... add more cheese

Thanks for the tips!!
Definitely need more cheese. My son loves these though, and I do think they taste better than some of the frozen ones.
Didn't think of that... thanks! I will do this.
