Heartburn and babies hair...

How many of you who had heartburn through pregnancy gave birth to a baby with hair?

I've had horrible heartburn this entire pregnancy, and although I know it can be an OWT, I can't help but wonder if my baby will be born with a head of hair.

Its been said its an OWT but after having DD my experience validates it for me. I had horrendous heartburn and DD has a bunch of hair.

No heart burn and full head of hair... So much they could tell on the ultrasound... well not as much as some of the little cuties on 0-6 but still a lot. Good luck! You'll get to see soon!

I didn't have heartburn until the middle of third tri, and even then it was fairly sporadic. DS was born with a head full of hair.

I had no heartburn and DD was born with a bunch of hair.

But I only made it to 32 weeks before delivering, so I could have developed heartburn later on, I suppose.

This exactly, although they could only see her hair on the back of her head on the ultrasound and that's where it's longest.

Very little maneageable heartburn here, but 7 months of nausea. So I think I paid my dues. DD has more hair than DH!

Very true for me. I had terrible heartburn and the one thing people always say when they meet DD is, "Look at all that hair!"

I had the worst heartburn in the world and it was 24/7 and she had a TON of hair, I think it is pretty accurate and when they say it I think they mean ALOT of hair, not just hair on their head.

Lots of heartburn here, especially in the 3rd tri. DS was born with a lot of gorgous red hair. This OWT has actually been proven to be scientifically true. The same hormone that causes heartburn is the same one that causes hair to grow.

FWIW, I had moderate heartburn and my baby just had peach fuzz at birth

I had heartburn for my entire pregnancy and DD was born with a head full of hair, so much so that the doctor said, "Whoa, look at that hair!" when she started crowning. The two things I hear most often from strangers are: 1) "Look at all that hair!" 2) "Did you have a lot of heartburn?"
