  Depending on how much you want to spend, there's nothing cooler than an Ed Hardy diaper bag, which looks like hard rock album cover art.  They're pretty expensive, but you can maybe find a deal on eBay.  Here's what I got when I did a search:

  Check Etsy.  I ordered a really cute gift set from a seller named Lowleepop.  The set was a black mini dress with a pink screenprinted guitar on it, plus pink and red Babyleg-style legwarmers and a black knotted hat with a pink star on it.  Very cute, and the mom (and dad) loved it.  Her shop is:

  Thanks for all the great leads, gang -- I'll check them out!

  My friend is having a little girl.  And I live in the KC area, so I'm not anywhere near SoCal.  But it sounds like I'll be able to find plenty of terrific things online.

  Can't wait to see the minidress, and the "Rock me all night long" onesie sounds darling!  I'll make sure to check out jaminga, too.

  I'm pretty sure they have adult clothes too but there are lots of fun baby things that are very "rocker"
