NYC West Side OB?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good OB in midtown west/UWS?  Also, if anyone has tips on how they went about choosing their delivery hospital or if it makes sense to let that determine your choice of OB, I need all the advice I can get! :) Thanks much!

Re: NYC West Side OB?

  • Dr Edward Jew is amazing he is on West 57th Street. You can google him.

    Good Luck!?

  • Another OB in the same practice as Dr. Jew is Dr. Jacques Moritz, who is also excellent.
  • Yes I agree I have seen Dr Moritz when I was not able to see Dr Jew and he is as fabulous.

  • Dr. Jay Matut. St. Luke's Roosevelt has the busiest OB floor in Manhattan.
  • Dr. Anna Rhee is fabulous. ?I changed from another Dr I wasn't happy with and am so thankful for her.

  • Thanks - I am hearing good things about SLR as well. My current OB is affiliated with Beth Israel and the feedback I'm getting on the hospital hasn't been great. And apparently a c-section is practically inevitable at Cornell. Of course, none of this is based on first-hand information!  Anyone else going insane with all this?  Almost (but not really) makes me wish I live in a 'burb where there are fewer options. :)
  • I've just started going to Westcare Medical, on 93rd and CPW. I like them a lot. So far I've seen Dr. Lurie and Dr. Langer. They deliver at Roosevelt.

  • While my OB is downtown (Financial District) ... I chose him based on the hospital. I was very determined to use one particular pediatrician and the hospital he was associated with then locked that in... so he can see baby day she is born...from there... I got a recommendation from pediatrician for OBGYN...

    Hospital of Choice: NYU
Pediatrician: Pediatric Associates of NY (32nd street - I think)

I think one of their doctors does a blog on here.. Paula Prezioso..
these were my doctors as a baby / toddler / little one... and I really love the practice...
