I've been hanging out on the 0-6 month board, and they are all talking about moms in their 20's and 30's. I can't post in either of those because I'm 41. I thought I'd come over here, and give a shout out to those of us who are having babies in our 40's. Yay us!

Hi ladies, I am 35 and pregnant with my 2nd child, and I also don't generally post on 3rd Tri because I feel the same way everyone else is in their 30's and I am also high risk I don't think anyone can relate to some of my inquiries so I mostly lurk. I also want to be able to ask a question without feeling as though I will be put in time out.
Hi,
I'm new to this web site and I'm trying to take it all in. My husband a I just got married in Sept 08(first marriage for us both) and we are going to be TTC in July. Neither one of us have had children--I am 38 and he is 43. I'm a little nervous (because of my age) and my husband can't wait. I enjoy reading others postings and hope to prepare myself. Sometimes, not all ways (don't want to make anyone upset) people don't really know who they are when they are in their 20's and early 30's. I feel that now that I am approaching 40, I am confident I will be a more well rounded, worldly, and emotionally ready mother. Thanks for listening to me and the best of luck to you all. :-)
I agree with PP. You have to ignore some of those age posts... they are kind of funny to me. I am pround to be 40 and a first time mom. I know who I am and what I want and have lived an awesome life already. I am finally ready for the next chapter. My DH is a little younger which is great. Being financially secure helps also. I have to laugh when the girls complain about to cost of say, a bumbo seat or a Halo sack.
Older moms rock! Esp. if we still look young and hot
Welcome to all of you
I am 42 and pregnant with my second child. My first was born when I was 41. I'll be 43 when this one arrives.
This is a great board, you will love it here.

First WELCOME everyone - this is a really nice place to post. The ladies here have saved my sanity (what's left of it, anyway) on several occasions...
... and for the previous post? ...even those of us who DON'T look young and hot... still pretty much rock the house.
hee!

I've read alot of the posts on this board and do feel that this would be a nice place to post even though I am not in my 40's yet.
YAY us!!!
I am the 99%.
It truly is nice to find mom to be's not quite as young as most! I'm 41 and pregnant with my second. But get this.....my first is a high school senior!! I've always wanted another child, but thought I never would have another one because things just weren't right in the past. I just nixed the idea when late thirty's rolled around. Well, this was a surprise and a blessing....but I'm feeling sort of lost. I was so prepared for my first in so many ways, but I'm trying to wrap my brain around this one so I'll be properly prepared.
Anyway...being pregnant at 41 brings about all sorts of new issues. One big one for me is how I'm going to travel during my ninth month to get my 18 year old settled as a college freshman in Arizona (I'm in Texas).
I'm always looking for info, tips, etc. The Bump has been a great tool for me along with the wonderful posts on the message boards.
