3rd Trimester

calling ob about lack of movement this morning

I drank the shake last night and did get 30 minutes of rolling out of the baby, but that was it.  My baby is always rolling around and very active, so to go from that to nothing much starting Wednesday is worrying me a lot.  He didn't even wake me up with rolling this morning and he usually does.  I've had coffee today and nothing.  I've had very minor movement, but it isn't normal for my baby.  I know my baby and this is not right.  And I do know that kicks decrease in the 3rd tri, I can't remember the last time I've had an actual kick, I always get lots of rolling out of him though and when I say lots, I mean lots of rolling around or moving side to side.  So to go from that to this in a day or two is freaking me out.  It could also be nothing, but I think the smart thing to do is call the OB first thing today.

  • Good luck, I just called mine for the same thing last week.  They told me to eat a small meal and then lay on my left side for one hour, do the kick count if you don't get to 10 call them back.  It surprisingly did the trick!  Hope yours is just as easy to solve!
  • i think you are making the right decision.  good luck!
