pedialyte and poop

So this is our first time with pedialyte. I bought the ice pops and about a ton of the unflavoured as well as apple & grape flavoured.?

?The child is unimpressed, but I got some into her. Any tips on how to keep it in??

I hate SICk. I HATE SICK SO MUCH!?

    We all have a nasty bug. I think we picked it up from the hospital. Grrr. I took her in tonight and the dr just said pedialyte and rest. She's happy, drinking, eating, and playful. Just filling diapers and its awful. ?

    If she won't take it from a bottle, you could try a sippy. Sometimes Josiah prefers it that way. Otherwise if you really can't get her to take the liquid or pops, they make dissolving strips that will help her keep the electrolytes up. Good luck!

    We're big fans of priobiotics. DS is prone to tummy bugs because of some health issues, and these help him get over "loose stools" faster. You can get them at Walgreens - they're safe for babies and adults. I just mix a half a capsule with his babyfood. We never had much luck with Pedialyte. GL!

    you know BRAT right?  tough to get the pedialyte in cause it tastes like crap.  If she'll take regular gatorade that works in a pinch

    also sprite.  if she won't take any other liquids give her sprite.  not optimal but it will stave off dehydration.

     

    And never mix American cheese and mango juice in a kid's stomach.  I learned that one the hard way and just trust. on that..

    DD had the flu in Jan, and the poops lasted for 10 days.  We did the BRAT diet and pedialyte, but I don't know that anything really helped.  One day I changed her almost 20 times.  It was ridiculous.  Poor baby...and poor mommy!

     I hope Jo feels better soon!

    I'm doing brat! Thanks! I'll try the sprite if we get desperate. She'll take pretty much anything through a straw. Straws are AWESOME to her. She's been asleep awhile now so I'm hoping the worst is behind us.
