I saw some of your cute wall letters that you did using scrap book paper, and I was wondering if you could give me some pointers (I'm not very crafty)? Once you have the scrap paper on the letter, did you do an exaggerated cut of the letter with an exacto knife first? Also, did you only use modge (sp?) pod glue and if so, what kind? I saw a lot of different mp glues that had different finishes. Do you just spray it over the scrap paper? Do you glue the paper on first to the wood with actual glue? Sorry for so many questions that may seem stupid but I need literal directions. If you hung on the wall with ribbon, did you just glue gun the ribbon to the letter and tie it around a small nail that you put in the wall?
Thank you so much!
Re: DIY Wall Letters--how to use scrap paper?
i used mod podge and wrapping paper. letters were .99 each at joanne fabrics. i stuck them to the wall with poster sticky gum.
I used spray adhesive with the scrabook paper. I traced the letter and cut on the decorative side of the paper. Then I used the spray adhesive to glue it down. I followed up with a razor blade to trim any imprefect spots.
It was really easy and turned out adorable.
