Has anyone else

Had a belly cast painted or any special belly/pregnancy anything?

Re: Has anyone else

  • DH and I did our Belly Cast yesterday and he is going to paint it.  After little man comes we are planning on putting his hand and foot prints on it in addition.  DH is an tattoo artist and great at freehand so he's got the upperhand...i will be supervising lol!

  • That is so so cool :) LOVE IT good idea with his special little feet and hands!  I've done one with every pregnancy.  They are all super different and I was considering deco podge-ing it . . . what do you think?
  • No. I actually don't really "get" belly casts - mainly because they seem really cool at first, but then what do you do with it? But DH got really excited when he heard about them, so I think we'll do it when I get bigger.

BTW - I've been in awe of the photo in your sig. Is that you? (probably a dumb question). Where did you get the makeup done?

  • Oh I luv that idea!!   Very unique:)  Do you have them all hung up?

I fell in love with it as soon as it came off...I will def do them with every pregnancy.  I saved some beautiful ribbon from my shower and thought of threading the sides (shoelace style but not criss-crossed) but thin all the way up to the top where it"ll be hung?

  • I have not, and DH is not into that type of thing. I love your pic in your sig though... it is amaznig!

  • Thank you.  It really is me lol even though no one can believe it ;)  my sister is an amazing artist and my other sister's husband is an  amazing photographer so . . .  pretty much they rock!  I have my belly casts hanging in different areas of my house.   My parents actually loved them so much they requested one for there house, cause they thought the idea was so cool.

That's awesome.  It's such a special time and it goes by so fast I just think more people should embrace remembering it so beautifully!
