I am going to an indoor water park the beginning of April (Great Wolf Lodge) with the BF and his kid- I doubt I'll be showing but I certainly won't be attractive in a baithing suit. I'm wondering what to do- should I just forgo playing in the water (the lazy river = mighty relaxing) or suck it up and look less than average in a baithing suit. I'm actually not a fan of community pool areas in the first place (had a bad experience getting a lougie [sp?] stuck in my hair once) but I'm not sure what else I would do without totally excluding my self from the boys.
What would you guys do?
Re: Bikinis... Dare I say it?
Get a one piece or wear a tank top with your bikini.
Wear the swimsuit. I wouldn't miss out on the fun just because you might not look totally amazing.
That said I'm going to a waterpark in 2 weeks. I'll won't really be showing, but I'm wearing my usual swimsuit although I know won't look all that great. I want to have fun too, I see no need to buy a different suit right now (it still fits good) either.
So I say screw it. Have fun!

And the great thing about public waterpark/pool areas is that there's someone there guaranteed to look 100Xs worse than you. Chances are no one else will even notice.
That's my consolation however mean it may be.
Considering some of the people that rock a bikini at water parks, I will say that you will still be in the top 1%.
True story.
I'm loving these confidence building responses- love you guys!
I'll rock the bikini and hope for the best!!
Bikinis????
::throws self under desk and hides::
I'm going to Arizona the first week of April and I have a tank top bikini that I'm hoping I can still wear - my boobs are huge but I think I can pull it off and my bloat just makes me look fat. I'm still going out in it - people can laugh if they want... I'll probably cry
Enjoy the water park - you deserve it!
Threre is a Wolf Lodge in Seattle, I've always thought it looked cool - tell me how it is!!
You and I can suffer in our bloated bodies and baithing suits together in spirit that week haha
And I will let you know how it goes I have to admit I am excited to see what it's all about I've heard great things about that place.

LMAO!!! Gross! I stopped going to public pools when I wore a mask and saw all the gunk floating in the water. Nothing worse that getting someones long hair woven between the fingers, however I think getting someone's snot caught in my hair probably takes the cake!
Water parks always seem to attract the most interesting people, so I'm sure you'll look just fine among some of the wildebeasts down at the watering hole.
Bikinis I've always thought were so cute on pregnant woman. I went to great wolf lodge just a weekend ago and wore mine and Ihave my little bump but I'm a third time mommy and I enjoyed it!
Heads up though the lazy river at Great Wolf is not relaxing its not big enough to float down at a tranquil pace and there are so many kids racing that your getting bumped into walls quite a bit!

I'll be about 13 weeks when I go to San Diego and being it's my second pregnancy I will probably have some major bloat/minor bump. I plan to rock a bikini but bring a matching tank top just in case I'm feeling ugly. It's my thought that showing the bump is far more attractive than hiding it.
Hello fellow Detroiter. She lives in Maryland I think so I imagine its a different one! Sandusky was fun but I like Kalahari better if you have to choose a water park but Kalahari is not better for 5yr. and under

I am also not a fan of public pools....I would come prepared either way. "Bumps" are different from woman to woman so if you think your bump will be "too" big then a one piece or a wrap would work. Good Luck!
