I wouldn't let it slide just because I did it too. Plus my child wouldn't know of the bad things I did. Obviously if she did something good then I'd praise it, if not then I'll sit down and talk to her about it.
agreed LOL...i didnt even have sex till i was like a senior in high school, and NOT much at that, and it was with my first boyfriend and first love and we were together for a long time..i was a prude, but i had lots of fun, didn't sneak out, just went to the mall alot....in hindsight, me and my friends really thought we were hot stuff, but we were some DORKS. lol
i was the goodie goodie of all goodie goodies....i didnt party, i went to figure skating practice every day (including weekends) i always came home when i was supposed to, and i never got in trouble, i was too scared haha. so yes, i would love my daughter to be like i was
i dont want to know what she is like once she hits college...i went a little crazy...(not too bad though lol) but yeah there are somethings i would just rather not know
Hard to say becasue I am proud of the person that I became which I owe to the challenges I went through so I would be proud of my child to be like I am but at the same time the protective mommy in me doesn't want to watch her make mistakes and be hurt.
I was by no means perfect, but I was pretty responsible. Drank a little, smoked a little (cigs and pot), virgin til long term bf at 19, no other drugs, didn't drink and drive, didn't get in dangerous situations, didn't get in trouble with the law. Graduated HS, got a college degree, got to do a lot of traveling.
I want my child to experience life but to be responsible.

No! I had sex too young, dated a bunch of losers and got pregnant at 19. I hope for sooo much more for her.
In the grand scheme of things though, it made me stronger and I met an amazing man in the end. Plus, in highschool (aside from the loser guys), I didn't do drugs and was an excellent student and participated in everything, so I hope she goes down that route. I just really really really hope she is not attracted to the guys like I was.

Never. Although I'm only 19.. previously I was a horrible teen. When I was around 14-15 I got mixed in with the wrong people and changed my whole life. I didnt listen to a word my parents said and constantly caused them trouble and hardships until I graduated. Once I graduated I got my life on track got a full time job and moved out on my own. I have matured so much in the past 4-5 years its crazy and I am so proud of myself. I have definetly learned the hard way a lot of things and learned from my mistakes and I think that will only help me raise my daughter down the road.
Re: XP: Poll when you were a teen...
I struggled with depression and eating disorders when I was a teen, so I'd prefer she not go through that...
No.

I guess so. I wouldn't be thrilled but I was a pretty good kid so there are only a couple things that would be bad.
Yes
