Well, that's embarrasing...

I'm watching a TiVo'd episode of Baby Story. These people were told they were having two boys....

And they ended up having two girls.

LOL.

Can you imagine? You think returning stuff for ONE baby is bad...

And the Dr. must feel like an asshat.

Too funny.

    I always find it funny when people are told they are having a boy and then have a girl.  I mean, what did the doctor see that made him think it was a boy - a finger, the umbilical cord???  It scares me about the rest of the ultrasuond reading.  At least if you are told it is a girl and it is actually a boy, the doctor just might have missed something - both are bad mistakes but I think the first one is so much worst.

    Totally! I would change doctors I think. I mean, I can see getting one wrong. Maybe. But both???

    I was watching that earlier. Although I would still feel blessed, I think I would kinda be pissed at the same time.

    Lol. Is that the episode that aired today?

    I watched and thought it was hilarious when the dad slapped up a girlie wallpaper boarder right over the top of the boy stuff! LMAO I couldn't stop laughing.

    Also WTF was wrong with the ultrasound person who told them they were having boys? Don't you think with twins they would have been given multiple u/s's  and someone would have caught this???

    Totally saw that one today! That doctor said it could be the umbilical cord that made a shape of a penis and that it was crowded in there so he "may not have seen both babies"

    I wanted to jump though the screen! I would change doctors AT THAT VERY POINT!

    yeah, don't ppl expecting twins get u/s EVERY SINGLE VISIT?!  My coworker had twins and she literally had an u/s every week during the last couple months!

    Not every doctor will do an ultrasound every visit... we have had them every 3 weeks since 19 weeks though... so definitely a lot more than a single pregnancy... and our techs always double check that... measure head circumference, belly circumference, femur length, still two boys, check for practice breathing...

     

    I would hope that they would have caught it if for some reason it wasn't two boys... and when you do your first big ultrasound... its really not that crowded so they should be have been able to see either hamburger or hotdog!  I would be finding a new doc and quick!

    I didn't get to see that one but I would hate for that to happen to me! How could you mess up on 2 babies!?!?! That's just crazy.

    i saw that one yesterday.  could you imagine?  my brother-in-laws gf was expecting her 3rd child, a boy, i even saw the u/s pic with legs spread and a little thing sticking up and guess what, it was a girl!  it was the umbilical cord posing as a "peter".  i'm really hoping my boy still has a peter!!

    Last week when I was at the hospital, the nurses were saying how some hospitals, the U/S Technician cannot even tell people what they are having due to law suits in the past.

    That's why I'm hoping that the 2 techs who have told me I'm having a girl are right. The 2nd knew nothing about what the 1st one said so I'm hoping so. If its a boy well we'll still be happy but I don't wanna think about all the stuff that will go back.
