My Ice Addiction

I know I have low iron and that it's connected but please tell me someone else is doing this too. I can't control it. At least I'm getting lots of extra water from it.

    Just be careful! My grandma wrecked her teeth by chewing ice. Let it melt as much as possible!

    I have had low iron the entire pregnancy and unfortunately now have to take tablets for it.

    This might sound dumb but...does eating ice really contribute to low iron?

    It doesn't contribute. It's a sign that your iron is low. I keep meaning to Google the connection but haven't yet. I shall do that now!

    I'm not having any luck. Everything I find just says it means you are anemic. Well duh, I know that. I'll have to ask my doc tomorrow.

    Sounds good. I am still curious as to what the dr will say, let me know. I don't have an appt. until Wednesday otherwise I would ask.

    I had an ice addiction in HS but it went away. Now it's back, just started a few days ago. I pretty much buy a soda from Casey's just so I can chew the ice. We don't have an ice maker : (
    I've heard of the iron deficiency thing but I didn't think that was true... I'll probably be asking my Dr. about it too.
