Around what time is good for a baby to be put in the high chair?

I began using mine as soon as DS started solids at 4 months old. I had to recline the seat back a little because he would tilt to the side, but by 5 or 6 months, he could sit up in it with no problem.

Nadia started sitting in hers a few weeks ago. I wanted her to get used to it before we start solids. It's also a great place for her to sit and be anywhere in the house (since it's on wheels). She likes it.

Same like Mari. We started putting Joshua in the high chair at 4mos so we could wheel him around the house wherever we were. Last night, we put him in it so we could eat b/c he just didnt want to be in his jumperoo, swing, or bouncy chair.

we did it at 6 mos when we started solids.

i did it like Mari, around 3 months for a new place to sit, and then started solids at 4 months

We did it around 6 months-only because we slacked on buying a high chair-lol! We would have totally used it sooner if we had it though!

My mom keeps telling me she thinks 3.5 months is unsafe for the baby to be sitting in the high chair and that I should really discuss w/ the pedi if it is safe for him to sit in it????? Did any of you do this???

I didn't ask the pedi. I just tried her in it and she sat there fine and looked comfy so I started using it.

everything i've read says that if they can hold their head up and don't slup down when they're sitting in the chairs, they're fine. i just put her in the last reclining position, only because she seems more comfortable after awhile. but if she can sit in a stroller upright, she can sit in the high chair. she sits in her bumbo perfectly, so she's able to hold her head up pretty well.

I officially put her in it last night and she LOVED IT. She watched us have dinner hehe. It was cute!
