HELP! CD's smell like fish?!?!?!

WTF???  Ok so we are fighting some horrid bright yellow, lose poop (ick, I know! - Dr. says it is prob a virus she is fighting) anyway after washing our cd's they smell like fish?  Where on earth did that come from and what on earth do I do?

I paniced b/c after 15 min in the dryer our whole laundry room started to stink!  I am reawashing w/ grapefruit seed extract (not sure why, the yeast rash is gone but I figured it couldn't hurt right?) and I threw in a downy ball w/ a bit of vinegar....that is good w/ odors, no?

Any ideas?

    Have you used any new diaper rash creams?  Many of them contain fish oils that will make for stanky dipes.

    running off to check....nothing new was used but maybe the hubby forgot a liner one time....I'll kill him...I swear I will....ack!  I can't get the smell out of my nose!!!

    just checked, nothing we have in the house has cod liver oil in it...

    Did she stay at grandma's or daycare recently?  Perhaps someone unknowingly used something ick on her? 

    I'm sorry -- this has to be awful.

    Any chance regular Desitin was used at any point?  To me, regular Desitin smells like this fish emulsion stuff my mom used to put on our plants.  I HATE the smell.

    Oh geez!  We are dealing with the exact same problem and DS is getting over a stomach virus with that same yellow poop!!  Ours doesn't sound quite as bad as yours...we mainly just smell it after DS pees.  We actually thought it was his pee, but then I noticed a light odor on the clean diapers too.  I hope someone has a solution!!

    Oh good grief....yellow poop = fish smell...who knew?!?!?

    Wash #1 w/GSE and vinegar = no help

    We are moving on to stripping w/ blue dawn

    Oh and as for possible fish oil creams...there are none in the house or diaper bag & she hasn't been w/ anyone else.  Plus our stash is small so it gets washed everyday, this has to be a result of the yellow poop which reared it's head today (4 diapers worth...aren't we lucky=)
