It's not bad. It kind of reminds me of Liam (pronounciation wise) but more formal. It's sounds high society actually although one cannot help but think of the Beatles

Not sure if you do nicknames but if you are into that I'd just think about "Lenny" being the immediate go to. I'm not a fan of Lenny - it makes me think of little old men.
I feel like "Len" or "Lenny" would be likely nicknames and I strongly dislike those. I also feel that the name is very "hippie" due to the Beatles reference. I don't know if I would do it, but it's not horrible.

It absolutely makes me think of the Beatles and that was way before my time. I think they are so iconic that Lennon will always be associated with the group.
It gets some weird looks, but it fits the kid and them. They are a bit hippy-ish, and did name him after John lennon. So, I don't think it really surprises anyone.
Just know that everyone will think that is who he is named after. I don't think its a bad name (much better than all the -y names out there), but it will have connotations and the hippy-nish is one of them.
Before I even opened your post I thought of John Lennon and then a fraction of a second later of Vladmir Lenin. I know it is spelled differently but it is pronounced the same. When your son introduces himself, no one is going to know how it is spelled.
I wouldn't name a boy Lennon due to those factors. Or, I would use it only as a middle name.

Ditto. Beatles, Vladimir Lenin/communism, and linen fabric come to mind. People won't know which way it is spelled. The connotations that are related to the name are pretty strong.

This cracked my chit up.
Haha yesss... don't do either.
My cousin named her kid Lennon. He's 4 or so now.

It's on my list. But I hate the nn Len, or Lenny.
I'm a huge Beatles fan, and I don't care about the association.
