Trying to Get Pregnant

Seriously?

OK, I'm on the verge of a frustration-induced nervous breakdown and I could use some advice/reason/virtual hugs. ?This is my second cycle charting, I O'd on CD 24 last month. ?This month, I had fertile CM that stopped right after CD 24 plus a temp spike on CD 24. ?My two temps since then have been low and lower. ?What do you think? ?Am I headed for an annovulatory cycle? ?Is it time to trash my BBT? ?Or should we keep on having sex (which would actually suck because I can feel a UTI coming on hard core)?

I'd love any inspiring stories of charts that looked fugly and turned out well. ?At this point I'd just be happy with crosshairs.?

Re: Seriously?

  • yikes! your O day is not going to be the same every cycle. ?if it's only 2 days later take a breath and relax. ?i've O'd on cd 24 and cd 86. ?you won't know what the pattern is unless you get to chart a couple cycles.?
  • Loading the player...
  • Calm down. There's no need for a breakdown.

Did you recently get off BCP?

I ovulated on CD40 (and on Clomid, even) once. Lemon ovulated on CD57 or so and got pregnant that cycle. Just because it's CD27 and you've seen no clear thermal shift, it does NOT mean that your cycle will be anovulatory.

If you get to 60 days and still no AF/O, call you doctor to get something to jump start AF again. Fluke anovulatory cycles happen sometimes.

  • I just o'ed sometime in the past week. lemon o'ed on cd 60 and got a bfp. it's never too late to o and it's too early to throw in the towel. take care of the uti and do your best.
  • What kit said. It's going to take a couple of cycles before you can predict your O date. I know you hate to hear it, but take a deep breath and try to relax. Stress can delay O. Here is your virtual ((hug)) and some **O** dust.

  • CD 39 and no o yet.  Don't freak out until you have a valid reason to.
  • Your responses plus the 2 glasses of wine I downed are making me feel better already.

I took my last pill in mid-October, but we started trying at the beginning of January.?

Sometimes BCP and other hormonal forms of BC can make your cycles wonky. It can take 6 months or so for them to get back to normal.

My advice is to calm down and give it time. If it is an anovulatory cycle, it's okay. Those happen. Don't start panicking until you have a reason to. Right now, you don't.

    Good luck.

Breathe... stop humping like stoned test rabbits.? You've only charted for 2 months, you need to take a moment and remember the basics of life.? Breathing for instance.?

Or you could be like the rest of the impatient GP crowd, rush out and demand all kinds of uncessary medical tests and interventions because you are so sure you have any number of IF-spawning conditions.?

I opt for breathing. ?Yeah, definitely the breathing.?

  • What everyone else said. This is my first cycle charting and I'm on day 40 with no O.  Even tho I didn't chart I did keep track of my periods and they were usually 31-34 days. This stuff happens. GL.
